A man who simply oozes charisma, a voice that charms and a performance that engages are just 3 of the many qualities in an artist that come naturally to TVS favourite Rob Green. From his humble beginnings playing to friends and family in the kitchen, to being placed on our TVS stages, for what is now 3 years running, not to mention the many other festivals you can catch him at this year, Rob’s talent has already been recognised by the likes of BBC Introducing, Mistajam and Martha Reeves (YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT, MOTOWN LEGEND MARTHA REEVES!) ...So believe us when we say he is destined for big, big things.
Having followed Rob since 2012, it’s been a real delight to watch his style develop over the years; his previous single, 'Blue' was a simple acoustic number that exposed a real deep, emotional side to Rob, captivating the hearts of his listeners in an instant. His latest single on the other hand, provides something at the complete opposite end of the spectrum.
Part one of four singles, co-written and produced with Dave Tidmarsh and Mark Elliott, 'Belief' accelerates Rob’s sound in a different direction. It features the voice of preacher C.L Franklin (Father of the amazing Aretha), some dirty guitar with a steady thumping beat, finished beautifully with Rob’s soulful vocals which produce an ABSOLUTE BELTER of a tune that instils energy and powerful motivation throughout.
Rob explained to TVS that he had learned a lot form the experiences of other artists and that the song summarises the need to believe in one’s own talents. No more making excuses or being lame, “If you thing you are too weak, you are too weak!”
The other 3 singles will be released through the course of 2017 which is sure to be a big year for this Nottingham talent.
Belief is available to stream NOW on apple music, Soundcloud and Spotify but you can hear it live at South West 7s festival if you want the full Rob Green experience!
